Cookie Policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser's local storage, which works in a similar way. We group them by purpose, and only strictly necessary ones are used without your choice.
Strictly necessary
These keep Truemuse working and secure, so they can't be turned off:
- tm_shopper, tm_in: keep you signed in to your shopper account (90 days)
- tm_session: keeps brand portal users signed in (30 days)
- NEXT_LOCALE: remembers English or Spanish (until you close your browser)
- tm_consent: remembers your cookie choices (1 year)
- tm_portal_lang: remembers the brand portal's language (1 year)
Functional
Local storage keeps your saved products, saved searches and your current Lumi chat on your device, so they work even when you're not signed in. Clearing your browser data removes them. We also store your Truemuse Settings choice (System, Light or Dark) this way.
Brand videos (YouTube)
Some adverts include a brand's video from YouTube. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): the video's preview image loads from YouTube with the advert, but the player only loads, and YouTube may only set cookies, when you choose to play the video. On the Truemuse app, videos open in YouTube. YouTube's use of that information is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Analytics and advertising
Truemuse doesn't currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If we add analytics to understand how Truemuse is used, or advertising cookies, they'll only run if you allow them in your cookie settings. Counting advert views and clicks for brands doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.
Your choices
Open Cookie Settings with the button below, or from the footer, at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of Truemuse may stop working. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal.
